How long does it take to learn to play intermediate level Guitar with 1 private lesson each week?

they charge $20 for each 30 min lesson of guitar.. is it cheap or expensive?

In 6 months, you should be able to play pretty good. I won my first contest after 8 months of playing.
Have to admit that I practiced 6 hours a night , every night but I became profiicient rather quickly. I listened to a lof of instrumental Venture albums and developed a very good timing and ear training.

As for the lessons, I charge $75 an hour but I only teach advanced students. You are paying less because you are a beginner.
