How To Play The Guitar

How do you play Guitar chords with fingers, rather than with a pick?
I’ve been using a pick to Play Guitar chords, but I like the quieter sound of the fingers and thumb. How can I correctly use my fingers to play the chords?
I don’t think there’s any one “correct” way to do it, just do whatever sounds best to you.
I use the left side/top of my right thumb, much in the same way a pick would be used. I also like the quieter sound. Bob Dylan grows his thumbnail long and uses it as a pick, but I can’t seem to make that work for me.
Just experiment and practice, and you will find what works for you. Good luck!
