Why does my computer shut down after watching mtv for about 20 minutes?
I watch mtv a lot, but my computer always shuts down 20-30 minutes in the episodes. What can I do to make that stop? Thankss.
You probably have power saving turned on in Windows. This turns off your monitor if you don”t use the mouse or keyboard for 20 minutes. How you turn it off depends on the version of Windows but I will try to describe what to do in generic terms.
The objective of this is to change the computer’s power scheme to always on.
Go to Start Menu and select control panel, In Windows 7 change the view to large icons in the control Panel using the view by drop down in the top right of the Window you won’t need to do this in XP.
Find the icon that looks like a battery, in here you will be able to set whether the display turns itself off or not.
