What are the best brands for violins?

I’m just starting out on Violin and I’m planning on teaching myself. And I was just wondering what brands or types of violins are best and where I can get them. Thanks.

Teaching yourself? I’m not sure that’s possible if you want to get any good. I’ve been playing the violin for 7 years and tried teaching my 14 year old brother, and it’s hard for both of us! I recommend lessons, but to answer your question I’d say Samuel Eastman would be a good violin brand. I have one, and it’s really good quality w/ a decent price tag.
